Saving and MS Word

This may be a stupid question but how do you get Word to leave off at the last position you were in a document? I have a rather large document and every time I reopen the document, I am put back at the beginning. I would like to have it so that when I open, I am where I left off where I saved it.

Not sure about you're requirement for automation, but to move to the end of an MS WORD document file use Ctrl+END (see: http://en.allexperts.com/q/Mic...cument-end-opening.htm ).

If you want this automatically on document startup then just use the built in MACRO capability of word & program the Ctrl+END keystroke & save as an AutoExec Macro (ie, auto initiates at document start up; see http://wordprocessing.about.co...d/qt/AutoExecMacro.htm ).

If you want to return to a specific location in a document, insert a Bookmark. Once you reopen the document you can navigate to that bookmark. Also, you could create a startup macro that automatically goes to the last bookmark in the doc.
