Save the sea-kittens!

Apparently PETA calls fish sea-kittens to stir up emotions about cute little cats instead of ugly cold things that go well with white wine.

The petition actually is silly, it says at the end to take up hiking and canoeing instead of promoting fishing. Has peta ever actually gotten what they wanted?

 Some go better with red though.

It's reverse psychology: they want to get me to buy fish in protest, instead of steak or hamburger.

Not gonna fall for it. Mmmm, steak.

That's nutty. Though I do agree with humane treatment of animals.
Oprah had an eye opening show on the bad conditions of the animal industry. Like egg production, with 6 hens in a tiny cage stacked to the ceiling, with poop all over them. They can't even turn around in the cage. Never see the sun, or touch the ground. They also showed free range egg production, which was much better where the hens scratch around the dirt. One old school egg producer said free range was more dangerous for the hens because a coyote might get them. I laughed at that. True, that might happen, but worth the risk. The beef veal was really bad too, with sick calves in a tiny pen they can't turn around in. Sow pigs are also kept in small pens they can't turn around in. I eat meat, but let's treat them decently.

I had to look that up. But my wife would agree, I am indeed a PITA.

I'm all for animal rights and humane treatment but PETA is jut too much. They are so radical in their motives they do a disservice to their causes. They can't expect everyone to be a vegan. IMO they should cut back on the theatrics and focus their efforts on preventing cruelty rather than telling people to not to eat meat.
