I suppose you're right, however, you can think of it this way:
You're indirectly supporting the home of animals and many medicines and so on and what are you paying? Nothing (practically, unless you want to get technical and bring up the energy, time, etc. spent on clicking a link)! Good deal to me =)

The radical environmentalists would argue that by preventing our extinction for another few years through these efforts, it becomes a very HOT deal when the earth becomes even hotter through our carbon dioxide and sulfur dioxide emissions 😀
 
I was only half serious about why this is a hot deal. I put it here because it's more popular than the Off Topic forum...I don't know why people are so anal about things being in its proper place. Yes I know if every thread is like this one it would be hard to locate things and quite annoying but come on. There was some Red Cross thing a while ago and everyone was all ooh sticky and so on...and moshquerade I believe you said yourself this regarding the Red Cross thread:

"great thread.

everyone who wasn't affected by the Hurricanes of late should put their money where there mouth is and donate some real bucks."

I am also aware that the Red Cross thread also covered a more serious matter but Hell, you don't pay anything for this.

I don't mean to start anything and I don't even care for the rainforest that much but I would just like to justify putting this here. Relax! Thanksgiving is coming...and so is nF4.

SpedeRacer, I agree with you. If other charities can get a chance to post here with relatively little harrassment, why can't this one? I'm thinking there are a couple of Republicans in here; Down with the Rainforests! Up with the multi-national billion dollar foresting industry! C'mon people. This isn't spam. It's just a kind gesture that few people think about.

The reason we have problems with posts like this is that they are usually posted by whackos.

Whacko people like PETA who are currently calling Thanksgiving a 'Turkey Holocaust'. I kid you not. Anyone who compares eating turkeys on Thanksgiving to the Nazi Holocaust should be hung up by their thumbs and publically ridiculed.

I am tired of people pushing their dumb unenlightened crusades in the hot deals forum. Please go away.
