save streaming media

there is some streming media of a talk show that i wwant to save on my computer. it is availible in a ms media player, real player or quicktime stream. how can i download this whole file so i can burn it on to a cd?

Is it just audio or video & audio? If it's just audio or, you only need the audio then I think there some sound recorders that will do the job.
 
Look around for Streambox VCR. You might get lucky and find it somewhere. It's a piece of software that can capture files from streaming servers using Real's proprietary pnm:// protocol.

There's also a Linux app called ASFrecorder that can do the same for ASF files. The link for it is here.
 
i read about streambox vcr- it sounds like it would work, but they are inbetween versions and don't have a demo avilible. i would prefer to have audio and video but just audio would work. any other ideas or anyone know where i can find streambox vcr?

after a few days of searching, i haven't been able to find streambox vcr. does anyone know of anyother software that will save streaming media from the internet onto my hard drive?
