I like Stargate Atlantis. I always look forward to watching it. I still think it's a top-notch sci-fi show. Stargate SG1 was running on fumes near the end but I think Stargate Atlantis still has a lot of life in it.

Bringing this back from the dead, just heard they are cancelling it today...and the reason being is Eureka is doing better on first watch, whereas SGA does better on DVR...sorry but if they kill this show and put another damn ghosthunters on I will just stop watching the Sci Fi channel..

Yup. Now days Sci-fi seems to be nothing but ghosthunters type crap and infomercials.
 
THey'll probably invent some kind of deus ex machina scheme to kill off all the wraith in one big bomb

Actually they said 3 more episodes UNTIL the series finale. Meaning 4 more episodes, which matches the episode guide on tv.com.

After that, the Sci-Fi Channel is just about finished.

You mean like Sliders? That was a good show back in the day...

It's too bad they're ending it. I'd like to see a new series where they'd have more interaction with other more advanced societies, instead of everyone else looking like they live in the dark ages.

One of my favorite episodes this season was where they accidentally let loose those hybrids and all of their electronics stopped working, it became very much like a good zombie flick.

They are going to do a bunch of movies like Stargate SG1 did last I heard so they can stretch it out.

MGM viewed this as making more money so they are stopping the tv part of this for that reason.

Yeah, what a shame, now they have some stupid chase and estate of panic reality show bullshit, oh yeah and that turd Sanctuary, at least they still have Eureka but how long that lasts will be a mystery...BSG - gone, Stargate - gone, SGA - gone...and who knows what happened to flash gordon.
 
I don't understand why they don't try to do an online thing with stargate- I bet a good percentage of the viewers of the show just download it; if they just "aired" it a day before the real air date on their own ad-supported website I'd bet they'd bring it buckets of cash.
 
I lost interest in SGA when I started watching SG-1 (6 months ago). SG-1 is a million times better than SGA. I will catch up to SGA though (eventually).
 
Online petitions do nothing. Go buy the DVD's then the company sees ($$) that people are interested.
