The only way to save Africa is to invade it, install a better government, and then use some of our own resources to make them self sufficient.

We thought we'd try it out on Iraq first but the liberal media and politicians didn't seem to like it.

The kid I'm thinking of would be burned on one side, and raw on the other. He probably weighs more than I did my senior year of high school, and he's in fifth or sixth grade. The hungry kids wouldn't be able to turn the spit.

Equilibrium would eventually be achieved, as obese kids burns calories turning their classmates on the spit.

Do you know what definition the FDA uses to classify these kids as "hungry?" If they miss one meal in a twenty-eight day period, if I recall correctly.

I'll be totally honest and say I've not seen a single kid in months who looks like they go hungry EVER. The starvation rate in the US is almost not worth mentioning.

The only people who starve in the U.S. are those who are too drunk or too high to care. And even those people don't starve because we use tax dollars to take them to the hospital and get them better so they can leave and do it again.

Not necessarily. Eventually hospitals will refuse less-than-critical treatment to patients who have outstanding bills.

Western culture could learn a LOT of good things from Africa! I've always liked how they have 11 year olds with ak-47s in conscripted militias. Riding bikes and going to the lake is no way to spend one's growing years. On the back of a land rover throwing grenades is much healthier.

AIDS epidemic is high in Africa because they're running out of virgins to screw. Its common knowledge that in Africa, if you do a virgin, you'd be cured of AIDS.

hah, well yea, but its just not simple. even with the mass death rate from hiv, their birth rate is so insane that if the rate holds, they will have 3 times the population of europe in 50 years their rainforests are already being destroyed at a rate that is incredible to make way for population and food production. just sending money for food and health care to increase infant mortality just helps prop up systems that encourage population explosion, which leads to all bad things.

yes magic johnson does have hiv but has yet to progress to full blown aids, the reasoning behind that is due to the fact that hes rich and able to afford those expensive drugs to slow down the progression of hiv turning into aids. yes i do believe that just sending over food isnt enough, i believe that countries with good Institutions should come in with their methods and combined with food support and good instituation it might be able to revive Africa from its current issues.
