Save 10% Locally with the Mobil Speed Pass

I stopped at a Mobil this morning for gasoline. For using a speed pass, American Express only bills $.98 for each dollar I spend on gasoline. A new promo is that if you use your speed pass inside the station, then you save 10%, except for gasoline and tobacco products.

Before anybody mentions Shell 5% rebate, Mobil is very competitive around my area. The local Shells are about a dime higher for each grade of gasoline.

Out of three speed passes, ZERO are still working. PITA, you fill out forms etc. then the stupid thing doesn't work when you try to use it. This does NOT save me time.

i thought the purpose of Speed Pass is that so you dont need to go inside

this thing worked alright but i didn't want another thing on my darn keychain so i got rid of it. ccs work fine anyway.

i think 'inside' means if you buy stuff at the mobilmart (eg drinks, snacks, and crap)

There are actually two types of transponders - one that connects to your key chain and one that you can mount in your rear window.

Have you tried calling the support number? Seems a little more productive than whining about it here.

This is my first post and I wanted to make it simple as possible. The main benefit I get from using the speed pass, is not having to go inside the Mobil station. By now, the PowerBall lottery is over $100 millions and its no fun waiting in a long line.

I'm still going to visit either Quick-Trip or 7-11 for my coffee. Mobil coffee taste like filtered sewer water.
