Savage Cuts Another Person for the Last Time

Barber Bob Savage is retiring after SIXTY ONE YEARS CUTTING HAIR! I never had the opportunity to get a hair cut from him, but some of my cousins were regulars and along with a great haircut, the stories he would tell were legendary.

Health problems forced barber Bob Savage to retire.

Now that leaves just business owner Ray Bradford remaining from the "old school" at the Shores and Bradford Barbershop on Priscilla Street.

The two have been cutting hair together for 52 years. Ray, 80, who has been barbering since 1947, that's 63 years, said he plans to quit when he has "75 years in."

Bob, 74, had 61 years of cutting hair experience.
