Saudi Royal family Buying Radio time

On the way home from work I heard an ad "paid for by the royal family of saudi arabia<announcer voice>. The spot had bad patriotic music and was touting what good friends they are to America and basically how the help they give is invaluable to the war on terrorism.

anyone else hear this drivel yet?

I am resucitating this because I still want to know if anyone has heard any of these spots yet? I heard it again this morning. It really irks me. The whole premise is that the Saudi's are SUUUUUCH good friends. We can't possibly think of telling them to p!ss off. We are brothers under the skin you know. There is no mention of Wahabism or their foul spawn Osama and the 9/11 pilots however.

Didn't listen to any Saudi ads but they did have a 10 page insert in a prior issue of Newsweek.

What is their purpose in doing these ads? I know it must be timed to coincide with prince asshollah's meeting with GW. I live in a rural farm area and it is doing nothing here but PO people. If that is their aim it is going over well and their PR company deserves kudo's.
