I would tend to agree :O

Although a LS1 is not much gain over mild work/tuning of the 4 banger.

I would think a built LS3 or possibly a LSA would be a better choice.

Numbers on paper - perhaps.

Driveability - LS1's lower peak torque will win out.

LS1 upgrade seems like it would be overkill. I want to drop in the GMPP and a K&N cold air intake. People were saying 300hp + 50lb more torque with the GMPP + intake. I'm also looking at a Magnaflow exhaust, which claims 22hp + 14lb of torque.

this car's already fast to me, but when I get use to it, those 3 upgrades should be fucking sweet. 322hp with tons more torque.

Depends on what you're looking for.

I dunno how light that car is, but I'm sure it scoots well enough. And I wouldn't want a ton of torque in that short a wheelbase.

Not saying the LS1 wouldn't win in a race- I'd just probably have more fun beating on the 4-banger.

That's a cool car.
I wouldn't get too hung up over the fact that it's an auto.....you're probably faster than a stick 9 times out of 10.
I thought that GM had a 5 year/100k powertrain warranty on pretty much everything in 2009. I know my G8 is still under powertrain warranty until sometime this summer.
Good luck with the car.

I'm not even thinking about the speed, this sucker is faaaaaast as shit to me. I wanted a shifter because it looks like so much damn fun. When I was heading to the dealer to test drive this, I was still under the impression it was a manual. So I was in the back seat and I was making the shifting sound in my head and pretending to shift. I'm pretty sure if I had got the manual I would actually make the noise to go along with shifting for awhile lol. I still <3 the car, and I love how next to no-one knows what car this is. And so many people think it's some super expensive import. I've never gotten so much attention from females as I have for past week lol.

The one bad thing I read about this car, 2 people said getting the top up and down will make you scream. Thanks for bringing that up I'll be sure to try it out maybe 3 or 4 times even.
Whoever has a problem getting the top up or down with a Saturn Sky is either severely disabled or just plain indigent. Takes 30 seconds by yourself, 20 seconds with two people. Piece of cake! Not worth complaining about in the least. You push a button, you lift the trunk, you slide the top leaver, you push the top effortlessly into the trunk, close the trunk, latch the two sides. I'm no youngster and this was so easy it was ridicules to be reading about.

Man I loved my Sky RL. I didn't fit in it very well but it was a fun car.

You'd be absolutely shocked. You'd really need an LS3 or better to make it a worthwhile swap.
