Saturn Sky = Modified Solstice ???

Are these cars the same thing with different shells on them? The specs, the body shape, and a lot of the other features are very similar to each other. I held off on ordering a Mini S because I liked these both so much (and they're $10g's cheaper 😀 ).

How did you equip the MINI to get it to $30,000-$35,000? If you did it, I'd have to call you a sucker, and I own a MINI.

They are the same platform, just different skins, basically.

Yes they are the same car. GM does this for a lot of things. There are vehicles across its entire line that are the same except for a mildly different body and name plate.

Anybody spending $30k on a Mini should be summarily executed.

no, GM doesn't suck for making those two car, nor those cars are a product of mediocry.

GM sucks because their poor infrastructure and reliant on SUV sales.

Of course they'e the same, where have you been? I guess you don't do much reading on new cars, and/or read too many car threads on this forum. For every chassis used in the car industry today, there's at least 1 other car that shares it.

So although I agree that GM is sucking lately, how is it that because they use the same chassis/platform for multiple automobiles, they automatically suck? Obviously you don't know much about the auto industry as a whole, or you would know that every manufacturer does this, and lots of them are shared between different manufacturers.

Most American companies have been sucking for the past 20+ years, ever since the whole political correctness/affirmative action crap took affect.

We can no longer hire the elite that can get the job done right, we have to hire a "diverse workforce", many of which aren't up to par and will only bring the company to mediocrity.

I say the constant failure of these companies is justice and will make them open their eyes.

Cooper S + John Cooper Works package + convertible could get over $30k...but at that price, I'd just get a new S2000 🙂

Yawp...except for additional standard items, the big difference is the sheetmetal. However, the Saturn is rumored to start at $25k so it may have some interesting features...or it'll just cost more for no reason

IMHO, that would be a massive waste.

Now that's the most impressive thread-jack tangent I've seen in a long time. 😀

Why's that?

If someone enjoys driving and owning a super-fast, drop-top Mini more than any other car at or below the price point, then it's not...

Getting an S2000? I agree.

Which is the same thing as a Vauxhall VX220.

So may it be SUV reliant sales .... or just b/c GM can't offer anything new (except rebranded cars), fact is GM sucks right now 🙁

so GM is the only manufacturer that does this?

the sheetmetal on both vehicles is so completely different your arguement is invalid. if you were talking Silverado/Sierra, Their new minivans. then you would have a different point. however you are arguing that 2 cars, that look NOTHING like each other arent new?
