ill say this for saturn, when my sister was looking for a car we visited the saturn dealership and the salesman that helped us new those cars inside and out...did a great job at pointing out features

he actually owned two of the cars he showed us and was extrmely knowledgeable about his product and used no high sales pressure to try and get us to buy...but did keep in touch in a freindly and respectful manner after the test drive..

i was very impressed, considering at a few of the other dealerships we visited my simple questions about their cars baffled the salemen and some of them had no clue about the features and one even read through the brochure for the car we were looking at.

there is a reason Saturn is typically the #1 ranked dealerships.

there is no pressure, very very rarely, and they are very laid back.

Does look like a very nice vehicle, I hope GM can use their Saturn brand to turn things around. From the pictures, the interior seems to be just about the best looking interior that has found it's way inside a GM car.

It's really not suited to being a Buick, Cadillac, or Pontiac, and on paper it's very similar to the Malibu and thus not an ideal Chevy either. Although Kia has been amazing for the last few years. Downside is the price has gone up because the quality has gone up...the Soul's base model is now a whopping $17.5k. Used to be like $14k brand-new

So has Corolla. Used sell in the $14k - $17.5k range. Now it starts at $17.5k - about where Camry used to start.

To be fair the Corolla has also grown substantially larger since I had a 2005 LE and that version was about the same size as my 1987 Camry sedan. (only bad Toyota I've had out of 6) Yaris is actually more comparable in size to older Corolla's.

I had a 2014 Elantra *(rear-ended & totaled) which I really liked a lot but I have to say that while Kia/Hyundai have improved quite a bit in terms of mechanical problems, they still have a ways to go to fully catch the Japanese especially in terms of suspension/handling.

A large limo-company in my area decided to try switching to the big Genesis sedan in place of Lincoln MKS/T awhile back. Initially things went well but as time went by there were serious durability issues and far worse it became clear that while normal driving was fine, in an emergency they would let you down with unpredictable accident-avoidance. In fact my Elantra nearly killed me on I-91 SB one snowy night when the stability-control lost its mind!

Far as I'm concerned if a Hyundai costs the same as a comparable Honda or Toyota I know what I'm buying.
