well, Yahoo may not have the cojones to report the news, but SNL does. odd that it is our comedians that have the guts to tell the truth.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8ZXEShSIFks&feature=player_embedded

touches on -
* Cash for Clunkers
* US owing China $800 billion
* the # of jobs created by the Stimulus plan (is it really zero ?)
* the health care plan
* banker salaries
* US F*cking China in the @$$, mimed 3 times by the Caucasian guy who plays China Premier Wu Jintao.

i don't think it leaves too many sacred cows un-touched.

way funnier than the background material available at

China has loaned the US $800 billion, maybe more. normally if you loan someone money, you want to see them invest it wisely so they'll be able to pay you back.

the "cash for clunkers" wise-cracks and the wise-cracks about reducing health care costs by spending $trillions on a health care program reflect China's genuine concern (in real life, not SNL) about having the US $800 billion in debt to them.

of course, China will be paid back. the problem for China is how much those $ will be worth.

when i say "US f*cking China in the ass", i'm referring to the 2 or 3 moments when the Chinese President character bends over and points his butt at the Obama character.

basically related to real-life concerns that the US is screwing their creditors by letting the deficit sky-rocket, by printing $300 billion in March 2009 ... etc.

That would end an American icon, sorta like canceling Dr. Who for the British.

"Will you buy me dinner and a movie?"
"Excuse me?"

Well, Paramount did in fact cancel Star Trek as a TV franchise, so it's not unheard of.

I also hear NBC cancelled The Tonight Show after Jay Leno left... ;)

I love how Obama brought up all the things he wanted to address with CHina and China was like "where's our money?"

seems gibbs, in his morning briefing, said:

"since cnn won't shill for us any more we'll just release the fact check on the snl skit ourselves...

It's an outright lie that the pres didn't buy the premier dinner before having sex with him. it was a nice dinner, with wine and desert, and not some damn fried seahorses or anything... there were no prior negotiations that included a movie, that was just another fabrication...

interestingly enough, tho, they did get how mr. o likes to do mrs. o exactly right..."...

and then he left the podium without taking any questions...
