I find it good but tiring. I can't listen to it forever. Love watching him live though

Agreed.

I'd take Eric Johnson over Satch or Vai.

more a SRV fan, but like all guitar players mostly, never really liked Malmsteen that much though

Knopfler?

Well I was specifically speaking of the G3 guys. As far as Knopfler, of course. My top choice as far as a guitarist is Clapton though, hands down. Then of course Page, Hendrix, etc etc etc.

..a technical talent but extremely boring. He plays in black and white. No color to his material.

I can't even five star Through Fire and Flame on Medium. I like Adam Jones guitar above all others, but it's a style thing. There are millions of guitar players.

.....

He used to be good, but he's been declining because he really hasn't grown or matured as a musician in several albums. He's been doing the same stuff for a while now. He needs an outside producer to pull some hidden creativity back out of him. I think changing up his backing players might help as well. I still buy all of his albums, but the one that he just released has been disappointing. I think I listened to it three or four times the day of release and haven't listened to it since.

I liked the part where you two backed up your opinions.

Don't make me smack you with a dictionary.

I see nothing wrong with it.

Opinions by definition are personal views. They don't require proof--if they did, they would no longer be opinions but facts.
