Satellite internet, networkable???????????

i'm getting direct pc satellite internet around x-mas time (satellite because cable and dsl don't reach my house)

does anybody know if the internet connect is net work able i would think so but one never knows so i ask you


the server would be a win2k t-bird 700

the answer is yes, but your uploads are going to be SLOW since they go through a analog modem.

Not anymore... DISH which sold through radio shack has two way now... DISH should be almost everywhere..

It's also stoopid how dish markets it..

you can only get it with new pc which is Compaq... :(

There is a workaround that now. I cant remember exactly, but I believe I heard on TechTV if you contact Dish Networks directly, you do not have to get the PC from Radio Cack.

Yeah, whos crazy to get a new pc just for that service and if you won't sell the service, go elsewhere..

We have DirecPC networked. It's running on an NT Server running Helius's software. Probably a bit more then you're looking for. It serves 6 pc's + the server on a digital cell phone.
