Wow that asshole rep, at the 1:50 mark in the video that got the 10 commandment statue actually said “no one in Arkansas has to worry about this statue being forced upon us”. Holy chit

Now this is one hilarious way of showing off the importance of secularism within government.

Good looking statute. 🙂

so 'demon' is just slang for meth?

i've not heard that before, maybe i'm just too old to be so down with modern slang as you.

i was still stuck on 'dope' being used incorrectly.

Ever heard of a person "having their demons?" That's the kind of thing I was referencing.

sorry, but i don't believe in "possessions"

Not even possessions by mind altering drugs? They make a person think the devil told them to...
But, per your argument, Satan is a fictional character. Some would argue that God also is. I just happen to believe that both exist and that some humans are not naturally evil, nor good.

nationalism and religion are used to get people to do horrible things to other people.

What if someone attends the Church of the Suntanned Blonde? Could they get a statue, or live model, on display too? Forcing religion on people is always a bad deal as has been repeatedly demonstrated over multiple millennia.

Awesome, I hope the religious right appreciates it.

If by that you mean, "I hope they get the point", I highly doubt they will.

IMO this will be purely seen as an attempt to troll them. I'm not against the placing of this statue by the way, I sincerely hope that the uppity religious types would get the point.

IMO a better tactic would have been legislation to say that if one religion gets represented there, then say 5 other religions get state subsidy to also get statues placed there.
