CORDOVA, TN (CNN) – A parent says she was so shocked that she snapped a pic of the brake light in a Durham school services bus at a stop in Cordova. “Anyone who fears a God, if not God and Jesus Christ, should be outraged.” said the concerned mom.
WMC-TV is not sharing her name because she’s getting death threats for her views. The parent says it’s appalling the brake lights are shaped like a pentagram. A pentagram is an upside down, five-pointed star. Merriam-Webster dictionary says the pentagram is often used as a magic or religious symbol.
“If you can’t put a cross on there, you cannot put a pentagram on it.” said the concerned mom.
She points out just last month, Walgreen’s pulled wrapping paper from its shelves because the images appeared to be swastikas. “Would we allow a swastika, for instance, to be on the back of the bus?” said the concerned mother.
A lot of people are wondering if she is making a whole lot of something out of nothing.
“Go find out if it was intentional.” said Practicing Wiccan Jo Applewhite.
Either way, the parent says the lights send the wrong signal, and she wants them changed. The school district did not answer questions about the bus brake lights.

Actually they send the right signal, she just didn't heed it. That signal is: STOP!
Just stop lady.

WOW. Maybe I should be surprised it took this long for some shitforbrains to finally notice, considering buses with LED lights have been around for several years now. The lights are installed in random orientations (because it doesn't fucking matter); look at enough buses and you will even find one with two upside down stars for taillights.

Of course, there is no pentagram there. It's just a bunch of discrete points of light. Her mind was assembling them into a symbol of evil. I guess Satan was doing that to her. And now she went and did the devil's work, making sure that millions of people see the symbol of the dark lord.

Timetraveler goal: Go back in time and swap out some symbol of evil with a simple circle. Make sure it's shown in various sizes too, and in both filled and unfilled versions.

Bonus points if you do it before anyone calculated the value of pi.

Epic-level if you go back before anyone figured out how to make a wheel&axle or pulley.

Then move forward to see how far humanity can progress without those simple machines.

I wonder what the angle of rotation is where it goes from being "a slightly rotated star" to "symbol of evil."

Here's another one that some people find offensive.

Some people never learned that boogiemen aren't real.

everything about that news story is depressingly awesome.

I recommend that everyone watch that.

LOL that's hilarious.

That news story is useless without pics though. :/ I'm kind of curious to see what it looks like.

Edit: Found it on another site:

It actually kinda does look like a pentagram. Interesting choice of LED placement lol.

Too bad the Bus Driver didn't teach all the kids to sing Highway to Hell. That would make this even more humorous. :D

What type of person goes through life looking for any excuse to be offended or for a chance to force their idiotic beliefs onto others?

They were on the site linked in the OP. There was an embedded video front and center at the top with that exact picture as the thumbnail (it is a TV news program site, by the way).

Quite a few, apparently. Have you been out recently with any 20-somethings and seen the fights that result when one mouthbreather claims that another one failed to "respect" him? It's comical until the morons throw down and knock over my drink.

We're living in a strange age. I fear it's not going to improve, however.

People are making death threats because they see a turd floating in the gene pool and want it out.

I followed a bus that had satan lights. Somehow when I got home I had the urge to sacrifice a chicken. I had none to sacrifice so I went to KFC and sacrificed a 3 piece meal.

It's actually a pro-Christian message. Placing the Devil symbols on the back of the bus is like saying "Get thee behind me, Satan!"

Can the USA divest itself of the entire bible belt and form a new country made up of people with brains?
