SATA v. ATA133

i play games and stuff and would like things as fast as possible. however, right now i have a 7200 rpm ata 133 drive. my board supports sata, so would i see a noticable difference if i went to a 7200 rpm sata HDD?

Not really. All you'll notice is faster level loading, which is always welcome. The speed difference between SATA and ATA133 isn't that big, unless you have a Raptor...

i doubt you'll notice a difference. bust out a stop watch and see how minimally faster a level loads 😀

No. You won't even notice a difference with level loading.

I didn't notice games loading faster with my raptor.:frown: Other things like installing programs are much faster.
