Got myself a WD Raptor 74 Gig..

Had it up and running for a day or 2, and went to turn on my computer last night.. tells me I dont have a HDD.. so I check the wires, take em in/out and it still gives me the same message.. little help?

I would change to a different SATA cable for starters. Don't know if that 's what you meant by take in and out.

Maybe your SATA settings in the BIOS was resetted. On some motherboards by default RAID is the stock setting and if that was the case then it could explain why your system isn't detecting a stand-alone hard drive.

Assuming your SATA drive is connected to the Promise Controller and not the other.
