actually my buddy snapped off BOTH SATA plugs on his raid0 of raptor at the same time and WD said its ok and he can RMA it...
I used to work for customer support for a greenhouse, there was a part we KNEW breaks all the time, so when people call and say they broke it we replace it for free, it is simply cheaper to replace it for people than it is to reinforce the part, and it makes for grateful customers when you replace it... so call their customer support and ask...
Also let us know what they say... since my experience is with western digital not with seagate.
then again, WD was always more sensitive to their problem, they made their own special connector that reinforced the SATA plug, using the power and data port and two holes they made to just hold it together, and then use an old molax for actual power source... but they stopped doing it after a while.
