Sata power cables?

In the middle of a build so I haven't searched but does anyone recommend aftermarket sata power cables?

The ones that came with my corsair power supply are unbelievably stiff. And it's not because they are new, I've used them for a few builds. I'd like to order 4 0r 5 of them in different lengths if I can find some.

You can trim the sleeving off them to make them more supple.

The corsair ones do not have sleeves. They are just hard plastic material. I see some at monoprice here. Anyone ever try them?

The cables on modular PSs are not standardized and can't be expected to be swappable like ordinary cables.

The SATA power cables you linked look good but just make sure to look at everything before actually using them.

You could carefully warm them up with a heat gun or a hair dryer. My Corsair CX600 was like that and a little heat on the cables allowed me to shape them as needed.

The end that goes into the power supply looks similar to a standard molex-type connector but it may be slightly different. It's already installed so I don't feel like pulling it back out to verify (and I can't find any documentation on corsairs site at the moment).

Either way the power supply does have a cable that came with it that has regular molex plugs on the other end (opposite of the power supply connection). So, I should be able to connect that end to the part I linked above. I think that would work.

Earl - I guess I can try that at least. The main thing I am concerned about is the one going into my SSD. It's at an angle and I'm afraid it puts a strain on the connector.

Sounds like it's OK.

I've had modular PSs since the get-go and some connectors were completely different.

Just make sure to check is all I'm saying.
