Hi I was overclocking an opteron 165 on this board. When I went to reboot after bumping up the fsb a bit the computer wouldnt boot and before i had a chance to power it down it shut itself off. Now my sata hard drive will not boot, wont recognize it wont do anything. I put the drive in another pc and it works fine so are my sata ports fried or something? I can boot everything else on the board as long as I dont plug anything into the sata ports. Otherwise it gets to "detecting ide drives" and hangs.

Ok im running memtest86 now and it did just find errors. So do I just go with 1 stick at a time till I find the bad one?

You have to use a 2T Command Rate, if you have 4 sticks of RAM. It's highly unlikely there's anything wrong with your RAM. You'll also most likely need an extra .1v of vdimm, while running 4 sticks.

The 2 new sticks error out by themselves without the other 2. I tested them separtely. And I was running 2T. Any other ideas?

With the 2 new sticks running by themselves did you make sure the volts and timings where set to spec for the ram?

If so, then you need to RMA the new ram.
