If it only held more than one drive! 🙂

you can connect more drives by usb if that is any consolation.

i was going to test mine out last night, but i fell asleep . sigh.

i will post about it tommorrow...

how is the performance for anyone that got in on this ? I have an NSLU from linksys, but I get a lot of corruption issues and performance issues.

25 left of the IDE version as of 6pm est.

Funny, the SATA version is pictured with a european power plug wall-wart psu. Edit: "Euro to US plug adapter" included.

Finally bought the IDE version. That's the sort of drive laying around getting dusty. Could probably put in a sata drive someday, maybe even a cool running 2.5" model, with a usb converter or an IDE adapter.

In for four of the IDE version, hopefully they won't cancel my order due to overselling.

Looks like a great deal, and a fun new toy to play with. Thanks, OP!

(I'll have to pick up some 500GB IDE drives to use with these. Does anyone know if they've ever made IDE drives larger than 500GB? I think I saw some strange 640GB Seagates at one point.)

Yes, I think the max size for IDE was 1TB.
Of course, finding IDE (PATA) drives now is getting to be pretty rare.
Oh, and not all controllers supported 1TB IDE drives.

From the page linked above from me. Max sata drive size is 750gb. I think the IDE is the same.

oen of the pages for sata said 1TB.

i think its just whatever the top size is whenever they put up the page. I doubt it matters... though I have heard there might be issues over 2TB with most sata controllers.

Yeah. After thinking about I thought there is no real size limit for technology past the ATA-1 28-bit LBA. Makes you wonder.

Looks like mine shipped. Yay!

I'm curious to tear into this thing and see what powers it. I'm betting a VIA Eden or some sort of x86 mini-ITX system, since their big one is a Celeron.

Noooooooooooooooo! 🙁

SATA sold out.

Dammit I wanted this!

Oh, that it says "up to 750GB" I couldn't have used it anyway then since I have a 1TB I'd use in it.
