SATA install question

I just finished putting together a new system with SATA on the MB and a Seagate SATA drive. Installed XP Home and I don't know if the SATA drivers were installed. It works fine now, but it boots kinda slow. Is there a way to check & see if the SATA drivers are installed? If not, is there a way to install them easily now?

If they weren't installed, how could you install WinXP on the SATA drive..? Didn't you have to press F6 at the start of the installation and then provide a floppy disk with SATA drivers..? I just did all this yesterday (SATA and WinXP) and it's exactly what I had to do..
