SATA HD problem

Hello!
I have Gigabyte GA7N400Pro2 board with nForce2 ultra chipset with 4 IDE devices connected - 2 Hard Disks and 2 burners. Recently I've bought a SATA HD wich I've connected to the SATA connector on board. The problem: during startup pc recognises the SATA drive along with 4 others (with a little bit of delay), but afterwards in windows 2000 I don't see the drive at all.
What can be done about it?

Is it possible at all to operate a SATA disk and IDE HD at the same time?
What else I can do?
