SATA hard drive question

Can an Sata hard drive function with a non sata hard drive hooked up to the same mobo? I have an ide hard drive and i want to add in the sata hard drive and was wondering if they would work.

It must work (I have not tried it... yet), because there are very few DVD/CD drives that are SATA. So folks must be running with P/SATA hybrid systems. Just be warned that loading windows onto a SATA drive can be a bit of a pain because you have to load the SATA drivers first.

It will work 100%
got both running, win on sata, no prob installing as long as you got the cd/fd with drivers

no probs, dont you worry about that
only one thing, when installing windows on a sata drive, its best that you dont have pata drives attached (cd/dvd dont matter)
