I have an Asrock 4CoreDual-SATA2 mb with a 2.4 cpu
I set the CPU in the bios from auto to manual. Then it allowed me to change the speed from default of 266.
I changed it 300. And now my cpu speed went from 2.34 to 2.71
Its running very good (without crashing) except for one problem:
Now my SATA DVDplayer won't run any .exe files from the drive - even autorun.exe!
It has got to be the overclocking causing this because I've gone back and forth changing only the cpu clock speed in the bios and the DVD player always goes back to full functionality as soon as I run at the default cpu clock speed again.
Maybe someone knows another tweak in the bios I can use to make my DVD player functional again while I'm overclocking???
