SATA drive problem

I just got a 120GB SATA drive. I have an ASUS P5LD2. It has 4 onboard SATA sockets. I have tried all 4 sockets. I am just trying to install XP on this drive. I have tried 2 different SATA data cords. I have tried 2 different SATA power cords. My SATA drive also has a Molex socket. It will not recognize that I have the hard drive plugged in when I try to install. Any ideas??

The board uses the 945P chipset, which doesn't natively support SATA.

When Windows asks if you want to install a SCSI or RAID device, hit F8. Put the floppy with SATA drivers in the drive. Hit Enter. RTFM.

Anyone know why I wouldn't be able to make a boot disk?? Says my floppy drive is already in use??

EDIT: Screw floppy drives...went through 2 before I found one that decided to make a boot disk 🙂
