SATA connection problem

Hi I've been trying to build a computer since I bought from Newegg.com My components that I will be using to install for my new computer are:

MSI K9AGM3-FIH
AMD Athlon 64 X2 4000+ Brisbane 2.1GHz Socket AM2
Western Digital 80 GB SATA
Pioneer DVD+- R/W (IDE Interface)
Yamaha R/W (IDE Interface)

I plan to install Windows Vista, but I don't know which connection I should use for these peripherals? Is it possible to have IDE connection on the motherboard along with a SATA drive?

Yes it is possible - as long as the PATA IDE ports are there. If there are two, set your Pioneer and Yamaha to Master, and put one on each channel. The HDD will go on the SATA port. If you have but one PATA IDE port, then set one drive as Master and the other as slave and let them share the port.

What about the jumpers for the Western Digital Hard Drive? From what I got in the mail. The jumper is set to 1 and 2 for disabling the SSC (Spread Spectrum Clocking) *not sure what that is*.

So to lay it out, I would do the following:

HD- To the Sata connection from the back of the HD to the Motherboard.

DVD-R/W Pioneer- Plug the IDE cable to the motherboard onto IDE Primary and then plug it in the back of the the drive.

CD-R/W- Plug the the same IDE ribbon cable from the DVD-R/W but as a second channel from the IDE Primary.

(Note: I have only 1 40-pin ribbon cable)
