Just built a new system, WinXP 64-Bit seems to install fine, but when it starts to boot from the hard drive (250gb Maxtor DiamondMax Plus), it just hangs. I've read that SATA drives require a boot disk to install the drivers to run them, so think that might be the issue. Is it possible to install these without a floppy drive? Also, where would I get them? The CD that came with my motherboard (Gigabyte K8NF-9) seems to have some drivers, but apparently I need a floppy disk to put them on. I have a spare IDE hard drive if that'd be any use.

You've either got to use a floppy, or slipstream those RAID drivers into your XP CD.
The files have to be entered during the XP install. At the beginning, the install will ask if you have third partydrivers to install; and at that time you must push F6. After loading some files, it will tell you to hit S if you have drivers and to put in your floppy. The floppy drive is the only place it looks. You can buy a new floppy drive for around $15.00.

Alright, thanks for the help. I'll look into slipstreaming. I know floppy drives are cheap, but shopping at this time of year is a pain
