I have been searching for a while and can't find the answer to my issue and hope that one of you may have the answer. I just built a new system and can't get windows to boot from the sata drive.
Specs....
Epox 8HDA5+
AMD 64 2800
2x512 Twinmos 3200
Work 440 watt PSU
Samsung 120gig sata
I booted the system up to do a fresh install and loaded the SCSI drivers it asked for. It then formatted the drive. (super fast format by the way). It then copied the data over to the drive and rebooted itself. It just sits at the WinXP screen with the darn blue line going back and forth, and that is it. It sits there until I turn it off. I then tried another sata drive, a samsung 160gig sata drive and it did the same exact thing. I then put my origional drive in with an IDE cable and it booted into windows just fine. I have set the bios to optimised default, I have flashed to the latest bios, what next? Anything I may be overlooking?
Thanks in advance for any help.
