SAT scores

That is a really good score. My friend who has been to SAT tutoring for the past ~6 months took it finally. He got a 1230... HAHAHAHA.

Over the three sections he got a 1230?? When I took it there were only 2 sections and I got a 1420...

1390 back when there were 2 sections. That's an average score of ~700, so just say my score is around a 2050-2100
 
It has been years since I took my SATs. Now my daughter will be taking them. I notice some have mentioned a combined total of 2 from the past and in today's SATs it looks like it will be a total of 3 scores. So my questions are...

1. What is considered to be a strong average for SATs?

2. What is considered to be a good average?

3. And what is considered to be high?

I dont know what my number is. All my sections just say PHS 😛. Guess Im going to have to pull those records out and look closer at them.
 
new sat is lame. screw that 3 section score crap.

i got a 1520....

apparently, sat means WAY more than gpa. i graduated with a 2.7 gpa and got good test scores (31 on act and 1520 on sat... didn't finish either of them; damn destractions) and i got accepted to every school i applied to.
 
I got like a 1340 between the math and reading.

I completely bombed the writing part though. 500 something. 25 minutes isn't enough to write 5 paragraphs damn it!

Still got accepted to Purdue though 🙂
