SARS; the bane of my relationship! (funny, funny thread -- no joke)

Because of the overwhelming fear and concerns of SARS, and well warranted at that since I live in one of the cautionary advised city, I asked that we stop seeing each other until things were calm. She's a nurse and frankly I'm scared of contracting it. Obviously she didn't take it too well so she basically told me to walk.

We met about a month ago and I really liked her, but I'm still disappointed in her tunnel vision in the matter.

Can anyone else see my point in this ?

On the brighter side of things, you might be able to get Jergens cheap if you dig around in Hot Deals a bit.

You better run to the doctor, I hear tunnel vision is contagious too!

As someone who's been in the healthcare field, yes, I can see your point.

And unlike the others, I don't think you're overreacting.

A few weeks apart from your sweetie in order to preserve your life is, I think, a wise decision. With so little known about SARS I don't find your attitude in the least bit wrong.

If you lived in a city with no known cases and were dating a librarian, you'd be off your rocker. But if you're in an affected city dating a healthcare professional, concern is warranted.
