I personally am sick of her getting such promince...wish Mitch Daniels and Bloomberg were milfs with their brains so true conservitancy has a shot in the next election..

I have voted republican and democrat over the last 20 years....sadly on the national level the choices have been slim....

btw change your name to troll1985 and get it over with...

Yeah kind of. Difference being that Pelosi is an elected official and Palin is not. Minor difference though

Oh oh OH I know another difference!!

The difference being, Sarah Palin quits her elected position. And Nancy Pelosi doesnt! :)

She's a good distraction from their own bad apples. The same way Pelosi is a good distraction from the Republican's bad apples. People tend to focus on the stupidity of the other party, ignoring the stupidity of their own. The result is that parties tend to take over gov't not because of greatness, but because of the other's disasters.

What should we change yours to? I have a few ideas, PM me if you want to hear them.

shoot it out in public.. it would be amusing...now you know I was only jesting and you dont need to get your knickers in a wad right?

Funny thing is we have alot in common, I grew up in Oak park after moving here to the states, went to school at U of I-champaign and mastered at Northwestern and University of Chicago. I own many guns and collect civil war weapons and memorabilia. I am a deep fiscal conservative small business owner who has supported local politicians and even helped start a foundation at the U of I for conservative principles below..

What I find amusing is I have become labeled a batshit liberal because I am socially progressive and advocate for the poor and personal freedom..

Ok maybe troll1985 was a little harsh, lets go with maverick1985 ^^

"Socially progressive?" "I believe people are responsible enough to decide if they want to smoke marijuana, but I don't think people are responsible enough to decide what foods their kids should eat."

Unfortunately, Sarah Palin has a chance of becoming president.

Fortunately, Nancy Pelosi does not have a chance of that.

Uh huh. Whats your view on the 2nd amendment, since you are a big fan of personal freedoms? What do you think of the fact that Illinois is a no-issue state for CCW, one of only 2 in the union? Or are you just a personal freedom supporter when its things you agree with?

BTW, I'm not a Palin supporter and I hope she doesn't win.

If only that weren't a hilarious distortion.

Regulation of marketing devices is not equal to preventing people from 'deciding what foods their kids should eat'.

It is the same. Its personal freedom, deciding what to eat and smoke. manimal claims he is for personal freedoms, yet he supports government regulation of food.

I too believe people have the right to smoke what they want as long as it doesnt kill the person standing next to them, I believe that the poor do need a helping hand and like Social security for what it is...a means to prevent the old and sick from being a burden on society...

The word progressive has become a dirty word in the new media world and I encourage you to stop filtering the world by those rose tinted glasses...

BTW I do believe the second amendment gives us the right to bear arms, so I went to the forest and tore them off a grizzly...

You are entitled to your opinions and free to believe what you want. This is one of the many things I love about this country. I grew up in South America in the early 70s when people were disappearing in the night and dissenting voices were afraid to speak out for fear of what may happen to their families. I have seen true poverty and how it affects children. I have experienced enough in my lifetime to believe that the US is the place where I want my children to grow up and where I call my home..

My experiences much like yours shape who I am and what I believe in...so I believe in a robust safety net for the poor and the means for them to raise themselves by their bootstraps and truly live the American dream... Is the American dream easier or harder to achieve now than it was 20 years ago?

So bam according to your beliefs do you think the GI bill after WW2 was socialist? How about the VA system? Its easy to cherry pick positions and hold them as a litmus test against some greater philosophy but the real world where the rest of us live is not that simple. If you believe it is that is your prerogative but its mine to point out its fallacies as well...

yes I thought removing toys from from fat and calorie laden food was a good idea....funny how people are allowed to believe what they want..
