Again, republican voters arent led by emotion or a good speech. We are led by values and principles. So have fun with your good speeches and bad policies that the Obama camp provides.

QFT.

You guys are delusional.

Republican Values and Principles.

Feel free to run on that platform.

Fool me once ... shame ... shame on you. Fool us three times ... no f'king way
Atleast we have some Values, Principles and platform. Atleast we are not another bunch of toastmasters

Without stating the obvious over the last 8 years ...

Republican "Family Values" ?????

Nice list, now do the Democratic side...

Of course, the one that instantly pops into my mind is the dem NYC mayor who was in the middle of a "stop prostitution" initiative getting caught in a prostitution scandal...HRMMMMMMMMMMM

But lets not point fingers, how about we say that "no one is perfect" and although there are values not everyone lives up to 'em.

Dems don't pretend to be perfect and hold family values as a platform to attack the opposing party. The Republican Party is full of hypocrites and this list points that out succintly.

Of course, the glass he views it through appears to be lopsided. I?d share with you a list of Democrat criminals, but I don?t keep something like that in my pocket. You might argue that?s because there aren?t criminal Democrats, but that would merely be showing just how biased you are.

If McCain were to die in office we would then have another religious right wing, former oil state governor in the White House.

Down right scary.

Yes it is.

So in case he dies you want to a dem ??? it makes no sence...

And if Obama were to die in office we'd have a dyed-in-the-wool, tax and spend, cut-and-run, social-program loving Democrat who is a career politican and ultimate Washington insider who barely got 9,000 votes from HIS OWN PARTY sitting in the White House.

Yes, scary indeed-- and so much for the politics of "change".

LOL.

Meanwhile, the Democratic Party poster boy "did not have... sexual relations... with that woman."

Hmm - didn't he take the speaking spot of another lying adulterer at the Democratic Convention this past week? What were their names again?

Palin is strongly pro-life and belongs to Feminists for Life.[12] She opposes same-sex marriage, but she has stated that she has gay friends and is receptive to gay and lesbian concerns about discrimination.[12] While the previous administration did not implement same-sex benefits, Palin complied with a state Supreme Court order and signed them into law.[32]

I wouldn't really characterize that as anti-gay when Obama opposes same-sex marriage as well.

And she also signed into law same-sex benefits. So no, not at all anti-gay, maybe pro male-female marriage definition, but not anti-gay.

Oh boy do I love semantics!

She was ORDERED by a court to sign it into law. She then said she wanted the citizens to vote in a referendum on whether or not to repeal those benefits! So if most of Alaska thought discriminating against gays (for health benefits!) was ok, she'd be all for it.

Semantics? She vetoed a bill that would have revoked same-sex benefits not because she disagreed with it, but because she felt it would have been unconstitutional as it directly contradicted the state court's prior ruling. It was a practical measure since a lawsuit would have resulted in hundreds of thousands of wasted dollars for an outcome that was evident from the get go. She is is definitely smart and forward looking, but not gay friendly.

http://www.gay.com/news/article.html?2006/12/29/6

So you are faulting her for following the law and not letting her own personal beliefs get in the way of her professional decision?

No, I'm not faulting her decision, it was the correct one. I'm simply pointing out the motive for her decision had nothing to do with her personal feelings, so giving her credit for being gay friendly is innaccurate. Claro?

<snip>

lol, hey jackass....read your own damn list. Who amongst them has any influence or voice for "Family Values"? How very partisan of you, keep your chin up though...there aren't any rabid lapdog Republicans living in their parents basement out there that have ambition to compile a list of local, volunteer, candidate, activists, judges, (see a pattern here?), Dems who have destroyed the word moral in the same hackish way as that shit.

While I have a brain and I can analyze judgement. McCain always says he has experience and judgement but when you analyze. McCain only picked this woman because

- He wanted hillary supporters
- He wanted to bring in more "younger" women supporters
- He wanted to energize the younger people.
- OIL OIL OIL. She wants to drill everywhere in Alaska...

All those reasons are all to get votes.

Now Obama's first most important decision with Biden (35 years of experience) was to strengthen him self, lack of experience. And have a great advisor.

- Biden was not about getting votes because when he chose him, he lost many hillary supporters
- Not picking Hillary, he was not after votes.
- He looks more wise than McCain now, more safe

McCain has issues with domestic issues. Thats a strength Palin brings to the table.

Obama has issues with foreign issues. Thats a strength Biden brings to the table.

Both candidates sought to strengthen their weaknesses.

That's not an answer.

Is not the GOP the party of personal responsibility?

Start with the last 8 years, please ...

The modern Republican Party: What you see is not what you get.

There's a lot of pedaphiles on that list. I wonder if Moonbeam can do an analysis:laugh:

I agree. I don't think McCain really supports a lot of Palin's views on certain things and is mostly doing this just because he thinks it will increase his chances at a shot at winning. Differences in viewpoints with certain issues could lead some of McCains voters to question him though. We'll see.
