And I note you did not address my point about the Okeife issue, neither question or other questions were raised at the Kendall trial, so they become moot points not answered on this thread. I can live with it, can you? Because neither of us will get definitive answers.

Okeefe is a moron who basically did the same thing as Kendall. One has been convicted, the other will join him in status shortly.

Well thank God McCain did not win. The stress would have kill McCain and Palin would have been President. Then she would have reset the all the Nukes passwords to Bristol or something like that and we would all be glowing now.

If this happened to Obama he'd probably be ordering the execution of them without trial by now like he is doing other American citizens.. But seriously, if this would have happened to Obama the trial would be front page news and everyone all up in arms over it.

That is a possibility, and IMHO hacking Bush or Cheney email would have your entire family sent to death and possibly a second civil war.

I was actually making fun of journalists who think anything computer related is "hacking". Apparently guessing Palin's embarrassingly easy password is a crime. That's fine, but please don't call it "hacking".

He shouldn't have done this, but on the other hand it isn't like he did much more harm than to really annoy.

I expect he'll get a short sentence and probation, and yes I would have said the same thing if it were Obama.

This. This guy is a prat, but he's hardly a hacker, and the identity theft charge was a stretch at least from what I understand. OoJ carries a maximum 20 years, but this is obstruction on a one-year maximum charge. Call it two years total with five years probation, let him serve them simultaneously (or better yet, suspend one) and let him serve three months. The point gets made, he gets a felony record (and some major gravitas in Democrat circles), and people who are both important and somewhat tech savvy learn an important lesson about secure passwords. Considering that the Palin family had to redo all their accounts and phone numbers and suffered some actual harassment the guy does need to do some time, but I think less than a year actual time served is appropriate.

Emo teenie angst is fun to watch, at least.
