Sarah Palin breaks out the racist dog whistles against the President

I don't know about that. Sarah Palin is an attention seeking idiot who clearly got her ideas about politics from a bumper sticker, but that sounds a bit too subtle for "dog whistle" to me. I didn't know the reference, and while I'm obviously not the target for her speeches, I doubt that's a commonly known enough connection to work. Dog whistle only works if people know what you're talking about. This sounds more like Sarah Palin using a phrase without knowing where it came from...which sounds more likely to me.

Are they using the same tactics Obama used against Hillary per Bill Clinton

White House press secretary Jay Carney used the term during a Sept. 7, 2011, press briefing after he brought out the wrong notebook, Real Clear Politics reported.

”Sorry, I’m going to shuck and jive,” Carney said. “Time to shuck and jive.”
Matthews himself used the term in July 2010 while talking to MSNBC’s Rachel Maddow about the war in Afghanistan.

Can you imagine the arrogance and stupidity it would have taken for that sad empty shell of a human being to imagine she was qualified to be our President? She and Romney have this same disease, shallow worthless puss sacks. Didn't we get enough when that dunce Romney embarrassed our great nation when he toured Europe. Republicans should just run baboons. Oh, wait, they do.

Obama never used that phrase about Hilary.

Carney used that phrase about himself. Has the same effect calling an adult white male "boy".

The "wink wink" in what Palin said is obvious

I am going to - gasp - stick up for Sarah Palin, at least in a sense. I think it is much likelier that she simply doesn't know the origin of this phrase than that she did this intentionally. For my money she is one of the dumbest, most comprehensively ignorant figures in modern American politics.

Sad but true. I don't think she knows any better.

The Teahadist base loves her nonetheless, because "She's one of Us!"

She sure is, Honey, in ways you'll never even understand.

BOO!

Sarah Palin. She is to the liberal what a conservative black man is - inconceivable. See in you in november, your state is voting for Romney. Only 13 days left, and the fuckstain in office is in deep trouble.

I agree. Where I have a problem is that there's a political party out there that nominated her to potentially be our President. A huge section of the American people are insane and dangerous. The brain dead zombies seem to think they should lead the nation. It's what makes horror films seem so real. Zombies and marching morons surround us.

Sarah Palin is the world's simplest intelligence test.

If you take her seriously or think she is worthy of high elected office -- you fail.

Started saying it in 2008. No less true today.

The more batshit the weakest links get, the more the GOP is losing. It's like clockwork every election cycle.

In what sense is a categorically unqualified and ignorant Republican politician "inconceivable"? Your party ran some of them for President this year.

My own state has not voted for a Republican presidential candidate in 40 years. I would cheerfully bet both my cars that Romney will not win my state.

As a veteran I find it really distasteful when morons use words like "fuckstain" to describe the President of the United States. I would never say something like that about the President.

If you have any interest in accuacy the religious right have accused Obama of being the anti-christ and Romney of being part of a cult.

Just correcting the record.

1500 here, 2000 elsewhere. Donated 1200 to Romney and a few other key senate races.

Did you bet anything on Rick Perry when you were certain he would be elected President?

We know you lost money on the 2010 midterm elections here. Have you ever won a bet like this?

Dog whistles work simply because they operate above frequencies the human range of human hearing.

Begging the question of why the GOP should place any reliance on sounds bytes rational humans cannot hear?

But then again we can understand something about the GOP who want to emulate the animals who can best hear high frequencies sounds, as bats and rats score especially well.

I'm starting to think that Spidey is actually a parody poster... or that he should be, anyway.

I think it's just a matter of time until he goes postal or offs himself, sad to say. I hope that there are people who care enough about him to force him to get help to prevent that.

I sort of believe he's really that nuts, which given his paranoia and fascination with guns would seriously concern me if he were a person in my life. I suspect many of the things he claims about his own life are false, however.

Agreed. This seems like a perfect example of "Never attribute to malice that which is adequately explained by stupidity"
