Sapphire X1950XT $220 after $30 MIR

Thanks OP.

Now i just need to decide between this and the $199AR X1900XT. Their both 256mb cards, is the extra $20 worth it for the X1950XT??

Way

Hold on, those benchies do not even include X1950XT. They do have X1950XTX, but that is a whole different beast.

the x1950xt 256 will perform closer to an x1950xtx 512 than to the x1950pro 256 since it has the same amount of pipelines, a higher gpu clock and higher memory clock. It doesn't have the gddr4 that the x1950xtx has, but it's clocked near the gddr4 speed.

The deal just got sweetened! Like the $30 rebate on the X850XT!

Where? i just see the original $30 MIR

Oh, my bad. Hope I didn't get you too excited. The deal was over a LONG LONG time ago. 😛

I'm tempted to jump on this, but I don't need the card right now. Is it likely for the price to drop anymore in the next month or so?

the evga is even cheaper... $201 after MIR.

x1950xt is faster, although at higher resolutions the 7950gt 512mb might have a higher "lower" fps due to the extra memory, but when you have a game that is really shader intensive, the ATI is gonna be faster. Against the 256mb 7950gt, the x1950 will slaughter it.

that's how it always seems to work out. I got mine before christmas, no regrets.

Quick question. I ordered this on Friday, and it hasn't passed step one of my order. I've ordered from Newegg before, and I thought they processed a bit faster than this. Anyone else having this issue?

You can use it with a X1900 crossfire edition card, but not just a X1900 card.

I bought this card about 6 weeks ago and love it. I'm using it with my x1900 crossfire edition card. Beleive me it rocks big time!!!

thanks rickn! okay, one more question, should i consider the 7950gt 512mb then since i have a dell 24" lcd?

thanks again.

edit: sorry guys, it's a little off the topic 🙂

the native rez of that Dell is what, 1920x1200? at that rez you'd probably want a 512mb card, "if" you plan to game at that rez, but the 7950gt 512mb i'd imagine doesn't have enough oomph to push the graphics at that rez. at 1680x1050 or lower, i'd go with the x1950xt

Thanks... I'll consider a 512mb card then.
