Title says it all. This is the single-slot Sapphire Radeon HD3870. I believe it has the standard 775MHz core, 1126MHz mem clocks as the reference cards. Someone can correct me if I'm wrong.

I have never had a problem with Sapphire. I always replace the heatsink anyways. Never had one die yet.

I've never had a problem with Sapphire myself, my current card is one of theirs (not that it is new, radeon x800gto) and it has worked like a champ. Of course as I haven't had any problems with it in the few years I've owned it I didn't have to deal with Sapphire's customer service so I can't vouch for them there. I suppose not a bad price if you feel safe buying Sapphire.

AMEN ! Sapphire rates somewhere below pond scum as far as I'm concerned. And NEVER buy a Sapphire card with a rebate, you can pretty much be certain you will never get it. I really nailed their butts to the wall with a rebate they claimed they never received. Was kinda funny to hear their excuses ...

Me : "I received an email denying my rebate and would like to know specifically why it was rejected."

Sapphire : "We never received your rebate submission."

Me : "Interesting. So how did you get my email address in order to send me the rejection notice for my submission ?"

Sapphire : "Sir, we did not receive your submission so we cannot process it."

Me : "Did you even think about the question I just asked you ? Never mind, we'll try another tact ... I sent this rebate submission via USPS with the requirement that the receiver sign for it, which according to the USPS, you (Sapphire) did. So, you signed for my rebate submission and then you got my email address off of it as well. That's two pieces of proof that you did indeed receive my submission."

Sapphire : "Sir, you also did not include the required code on the envelope back."

Me (Laughing at this point) : "Do you realize that by making that claim you are admitting that you did receive my rebate ?"

Sapphire : "Sir, if your rebate submission is not complete we cannot approve it."

Me : "Never mind, I'll just call NewEgg and get my money from them. And I'm sure they will like to hear this 'story' of yours."

MyRebates411 is same shifty outfit doing rebates for many other companies, not just Sapphire. Watch out for them.

Be fun to tell the rebate house their conversation is being recorded, for quality control purposes, and listen to them dance and squirm around the truth.
