I've had this card sitting around for a few months now.. It is missing the fan. The copper heatsink, fan power cable, and everything else is still on the card.

I've been searching Google.. but I cannot find any drop-in replacement fans that will fit in the current heat sink. I'd rather not have to spend a lot of time replacing the stock heatsink when the only thing that needs replaced is the fan.

I dunno what Sapphire's warranties are like.. so I haven't bothered to try to contact them. If I can find a good replacment for $20, I'd be happy.

It was last year's world's best VGA cooler! Now look at the price... :D

Thinking about purchasing this for my brother's 9800 pro. Does newegg actually send all the required parts to mount it properly? I know they have a disclaimer, but do they come through?

I bought mine last year - paid full retail, but...

Looks like everything is there!

When the fan on my 9800 Pro died I picked up a copper replacement at CompUSA for 10.99 + tax.

Edit: Here is the actual cooler from CompUSA. It was $10.99 in the store.

Click.

Nothing personal, but the Masscool VGA cooler that I linked to above will run circles around the Thermalwrong V-1 Ultra - even if you install two fans on it!

That thing was a dog!

I know it sounds ghetto but my Radeon 9800 fan was so loud, I took it off and strip tied a 90mm fan onto the board. It worked fine and was silent.
