My Sapphire Radeon 9800 Pro 128mb is done. I've posted about the pink/green vertical lines all over the place. I think it'll die pretty soon because it keeps getting worse. The card is only a year and a half old (if that long) and cost me $300 when I got it. Seems pretty unacceptable since I've had $100 cards last much longer and take more abuse. I know this just happens sometimes, but has anyone had luck at returning cards that are more than a year old? I haven't had luck finding the warranty info on the card from sapphire's website but I'm pretty sure it's more than a year. Is this still under warranty?

Only thing is, I downloaded powerstrip to underclock my card after someone mentioned that I had overclocked it which is why it's dying (which i hadn't). Does this void warranties?

Thanks.

i actually got a response from the tech email listed on their site. i have a 2 year warranty for the card (was bought last october) so I'm still covered. All he needs is the receipt (bought online from newegg) and the serial # which was on a sticker on the card. Unfortunately I took the sticker off and left it at home (i stuck it to the manual for the card). Is there anywhere else to find the serial #?

I'm having the same problems with my Sapphire Atlantis 9700 Pro Ultimate Edition video card.

Corrupt BIOS screen (when it shows the screen at all), then artifacts on the Windows loading screen (vertical blue dashes in the word "Windows" and in the squares of the Windows logo), then pink vertical columns when it hits the desktop. Happens hot or cold. Sometimes doesn't happen at all and I can run 3DMark03 for 2 days straight (5000+ score), then reboot and it starts happening all over again.

Since I've updated to Catalyst v4.12, after Windows loads and hits the desktop I get a black screen and the monitor shuts off. Green monitor light turns orange (sometimes flasing). I have to shut off the PSU to get it to boot again, but it won't even load Windows anymore without getting the black screen. I can only boot to safe mode. If I use Driver Cleaner to remove the ATI drivers, I can boot to Windows without any video driver and the 2D works fine. But 3D apps won't work without a driver...

Any-who, I've decided to RMA my card and I just wanted to know if Sapphire replaced the card for you with a card that actually works. And if they did, how long did it take and how much did they charge you?

If anybody has ANY thoughts about the problems with Sapphire cards, please let me know.
