I have a red once I got from allstarshop.com it runs fine, with the standard driver, but I cant even get it to boot into windows with the hacked driver. I did tons of searching, and could find nothing. any ideas?

If you are overclocked try bringing the FSB down to standard speeds and applying the hack...not sure if it will work but just an idea.

He means your system. More specifically, is your AGP bus running at a speed besides 66 MHz?

For those of your guys who get artifacts, try the card on a different Powersupply. It's most likely the problem with weak amp on the 12v+

well, the checker board problem after the mod will still be there (However, i've heard there's a voltage mod that might fix it, might be rumors), the Powersupply change is only for if you get artifacts @ bootup without mods.

I was browsing newegg again and saw that they were selling 9500 Red PCB for 165.00 so i decied what the hey and ordered one to see if i could get the hack to work. I had one previous to this and the hack work ok, but in certain games you could see artifacts. I ended up selling it and breaking even. So i recived this new card today. First thing i noticed was that it had infineon 3.3 ram on it. Then i loaded tha soft hack and ran some of the hard tests; 3dmark 03, jedi knight II, Doom3 , black hawk down. All ran PERFECT!!!! No artifacts what so ever. Just thought i should let you all know, there still might be hope out. Also i recieved a really nice pen from newegg for free, i would have to say that they are one of the best estiblishments out on the net.

I bought from newegg a month ago, and had some artifacting. I didn't want to deal with newegg's 15% restocking fee, so I ebayed it. Restocking would have cost me $24, eBaying it cost me a little less than $10.

Im not sure why everyone is always talking about restocking fees, cause ive returned 100's of dollars worth of stuff to newegg and never been charged a penny (i've purchased over $9,000 from them to date). I know it lists it on their site, but has anyone actually been charged it?

awesome. thanx...

is this card worth it if you cant hack it? can you turn the hack off after the fact?

ive only got 2x agp or 4x -- but my 4x have never worked (pretty early via dual p3 chipset) i get black screens..

is this worth it at only 2x agp or, unlikely, 4x?

As long as you only perform the software hack, it's completely reversible.

Yes i have been charged with a restocking fee, when i returned a motherboard that they did not have in stock at the time so i asked for a cash refund and bought one elsewhere. Although i did contest it and was finally refunded the restocking
