Sapphire Part Numbers: any way to interpret them?

My Sapphire Radeon HD 5770 had the Part Number 288-1e147-00SA.

After RMA and a long wait, I've been informed by the store that Sapphire sent a replacement card with PN 288-1e147-201SA. I can take it or wait longer as they return it to Sapphire. Or take 80 bucks as store credit (I wouldn't be able to upgrade beyond a 5830, though).

Now I'm trying to find the difference between them. Googling only takes me to stock pictures, some showing the 201SA with a Phoenix shroud, some with the newer cooler.

So, how do I translate Sapphire's part numbers? I Googled it to death and can't find anything. Their website doesn't say a word. I even opened a ticket, but no dice.

Even if you don't know but own a 288-1e147-201SA, could you tell me which cooler it uses?

Any tip is appreciated
thanks a lot

If their willing to change your 5770 to a 5830, why not take that? that seems like a upg compaired to just getting your 5770 back.

If the store has it, why not go and take a look?
sorry, I forgot to mention the store is across the country, no way to go there and check. I bought online. I actually asked them about the card, but they just pointed to a link with inconclusive information (no actual product pictures, for instance)

They didn't exactly offer an upgrade. They offered $80 as store credit for the new 5770 sent by Sapphire. I could then pay an extra $60 and get the 5830. It justs sounds odd to get $80 for a card that is new and worth $140. Well, I've never RMAd video cards before. Maybe that's as good as it gets?

Why not just call Sapphire and ask?
They only mention their Hong Kong numbers in the website, I was hoping to find an answer without resorting to an overseas call.

Thanks for clarifying. The only pic I saw, while googling it myself, was of the reference card. Obviously, it's not that.

Maybe the store would be willing to email you a pic (If you begged 😉)
