There is a warranty, one year I believe. And LOTS of people overclock top end cards. Same as they do top end CPU's. But as mentioned, if you overclock, you void the warranty anyways. Some people still send them back, but thats up to them.

You believe? I am missing it or it does not say. Please point out where it has warranty details. -Thanks.

Ebay is your friend - you probably won't get a good deal on the FS/FT forums since most forum goers are aware of the 7900 GT's upcoming release. You could probalby eBay them for $500 easily.

Yeah unfortunately they do but you'd get more for your gear to make up for the charge.

Doesnt look good. No eVGA 7800GT over $223 has a bid.

Throw in a game with the auction and you should get some decent bids. I'd auction them seperately to get attract more bids.

I believe the best way would be to put both of them in a multiple item auction where you could just buy 1 at a time, but give a better deal if they will buy both (such as, say $275 for one but if you buy 2=$500, which is $250 per card), a better deal of course.

I think I might just bite the bullet on the FS/T forum. $230 for a less than 2 month old 7800GT CO and $250 for a 7800GT w/ ACS NV5 sound reasonable?

I really want this XTX now. I was holding out to sell one GT and use my step-up for a 7900GTX, but for $499? I think that just made my decision a little easier.

Dual 7800 GTs easily outperform an x1900 XTX, and use less power. Why downgrade?

It's a generic statement and it's false.

i'd say they're neck to neck?

you can't go wrong on either one....it's just a matter of preference

to me:

x1900 xt = easier to work with (single vs dual card) and less heat + power

7800 gt sli = probably a tad higher on minimum framerates
