I just don't understand this...why launch with 1/2 the VRAM for such a small price difference? Is anyone that hard-up that $260 is acceptable but $270 'breaks the bank'? Silly IMHO.

If someone isn't playing with Eyefinity and crazy resolutions so paying more for something you're not going to use is for suckers. Toms is also claiming the 1gb is slightly faster in some games.

2 GB edition= Higher resolution/eyefinity edition

Toms is run by idiots. They claimed more systems ram would make games more stable and give them better textures. So I don't believe the tighter timings explanation they gave. Probably just margin of error.
