SAPPHIRE HD 3850 AGP for an old PC

I was looking for a new card (dual dvi) for my old Dell Dimension 4550.

The Dell has an AGP 4x/2x modes at 1.5 V slot.

The SAPPHIRE HD 3850 says it needs a 4X/8X AGP slot.

I see "4x" in both specs, will this work in my system?

Thanks!

Mitch

Probably

I put an AGP 3850 in to three systems, I talk about it over here

EDIT: Granted all three systems had 4x/8x motherboards but the card should work at 4x in your 2x/4x motherboard. The question is can your power supply provide the extra power the 3850 needs (the card should come with a 2x molex to 6 pin adapter that the card needs if your power supply doesn't have the 6 pin connector).
