I want to buy Sapphire 7870, but am really really confused with different versions:

1] http://www.sapphiretech.com/presentation/product/?cid=1&gid=3&sgid=1160&pid=1700&psn=&lid=1&leg=0

2] http://www.sapphiretech.com/presentation/product/?cid=1&gid=3&sgid=1160&pid=1473&psn=&lid=1&leg=0

Whts the difference between the above two ? I can see only diff in connector options... Apart frm tht is it so one model is newer than another? While buying how to differentiate between both as both cards packing looks exactly same...

Similarly same case as above in below version:

3] http://www.sapphiretech.com/presentation/product/?cid=1&gid=3&sgid=1160&pid=1744&psn=&lid=1&leg=0

4] http://www.sapphiretech.com/presentation/product/?cid=1&gid=3&sgid=1160&pid=1487&psn=&lid=1&leg=0

It is completely random. The problem in theory was fixed several months ago, but that doesn't mean retailers have flushed out all their stock yet. In fact, I noticed some places like ncix.com specifically mention that some cards are vendor-warranty only, and won't accept returns except via the manufacturer's blessing.

Guess which models go on sale? Sigh.

Yes, it looks like the main diff is the output options. The cooler dimension is also diffferent but thats a minor thing.

The first one is a newer version. Sapphire released it as a replacement for faulty cards. Less likely it's going to be defective. The third one is just the overclocked version of the new card.

The one with the blue-green stripe is the new one.

Thx for the info.... yes these new cards are available in our local stores...

But the problem is only Stock speed 7870 is available...
So, shall i buy Flex edition instead OR i can buy stock card and overclock it to Flex speed without any trouble via AMD CC utility... ?

That OC should be easy to achieve with any HD7870.
