The Radeon X1800 XT currently delivers better performance for a lower price tag, making it a better value for playing today?s latest games.
Thats the main problem for this card. Until the XT's sell out, who is going to buy a X1900GT? newegg has a XT for $225 right now, which is much less than the GT is, and its faster. Unless the X1900GT can be unlocked and then overclocks nicely, its not very attractive right now.
Compared to the 7900GT though, its pretty even. With benches going a little more towards the X1900GT. The 7900GT is cheaper though, barely if the $300 price carries over to the streets, I havent looked around for any. The X1900GT is a lot quieter than the 7900GT though. Seems NV and ATi flip-flop noise in the high end, and next to high end cards.
I do get tired of benchmarks of no AA in Oblivion though. They need to stop being lazy, and do it right.
