$7.56 shipping but still dirt cheap. Is this the lowest a 5850 has gone? (around $137)

Edit: The lowest was a Diamond 5850 at $135 but required a rather large $50 MIR.

Ok, I think I found the manufacturer's info on this card: http://www.sapphiretech.com/presentation/product/?psn=000101&pid=1152

Looks like a new model, with a cooler adapted from the 6 series, and one fewer dvi output. But that comes with the benefit of a larger cooling vent. Card looks shorter than most 5 series cards too.

Seems legit to me. I'll probably order one when it comes back in stock.

Oh really. Since when does AMD have GPU physics?

I thought it simply required hardware physics coded in OpenCL. Now i don't know any games currently that are using OpenCL for hardware physics versus PhysyX but it is capable.

Either way the 5850 at that price is pretty solid. I purchased a 460 around that price because I wanted a little more power than the 5770s i was finding at that price. Now with the 5850 at this price it's pretty awesome if it stays there.

Found a thread on this card over at overclockers UK. A few guys having problems with the card over there: http://forums.overclockers.co.uk/showthread.php?t=18260756

BTW, got a kick out of the British English.

Might wait to see some posts on Newegg in case there are a bunch of RMAs. I don't think this was a one-off deal - will probably come back in stock at that price.

Besides the RMA issues, the users over there report very low noise, a very short PCB (8.5", which is 1" shorter than stock), and overclocking up to about 820, which isn't fantastic even at stock voltage. No voltage modification either. So some pros and cons with this new model.

Oh, back in stock and still $130. Would be a nice upgrade over my 4670. But my E6400 @ stock :( would likely hold this one back.

i wouldnt worry about it. this thing will kick the crap out of anything else you can get at 130. i would go for it!

as for me im eyeballing a high-er end 6970 right now, but i think im going to hold off until after i give bulldozer a shot this summer.

Deal is for real, and shipping is $.58 less then before just for good measure. Think I'm going to jump on this just to fool around with crossfire.

But anyone considering buying this should read ocuk forum detailing issues.

I jumped on one of these, seems like a good card for my HTPC build. Now I just hope I don't have any of the issues mentioned in that other thread.
