Saphire 9800 DOA?

Hey Guys,
My brother just got a Saphire 9800 PRO to replace his GF4 TI. We took out the old card, put in the new one, plugged in the power, and boot, nothing happens, nothing on the monitor (the computer powers up though). He has an Epox 8K3A series with an AMD 2000+. Any ideas? Is it normal for these cards to just come dead? Would it be worth it to take out all the other expansion cards and try? The fan is moving..very weird..any ideas?
Thanks guys

put the ti series back in and see how it works. Make sure the card is FULLY in the agp slot. There should be a little "hook" on your card that you clip in. Make sure the monitor is plugged in all the way to the vid card. Uninstall the drivers while the old card is in before putting in your new one. It is not normal for them to come doa

the fan spins, so it isn't power, the other card works so it isn't the mobo seems to be the card.

I think you will have to bite the bullet on this one and rma it and pay the restocking fee if applicable.

For some reason now, but not all the time, when I Start the computer I hear a sequence of rapid beeps, very fast one after another - anyone know what this is related too?

Thanks for the info.

I assumed that is what he ment by that phrase.

Did you follow these steps?
Uninstall nvidia drivers (do not reboot)
If you have cats installed uninstall them (do not reboot)
Reboot directly into safemode
Run driver cleaner for Nvidia
Run driver cleaner for ATI
Shutdown puter
Install 9800p
Bootup into windows and install cat.
